He paced around the room, walking along an already well worn path. Continually blowing hair out of his face, he stopped and looked at his partner. Giving a grin to hide his emotions, he calmed himself down a little.
“I’m out,” he took out his cell phone and gave it a wave. “Call me if it’s important,”
Seeing the affirmative nod, he walked on out the door, letting it slam shut. While he wasn’t in a hurry, he felt like he should be. Taking the steps down two at a time, he made it outside into the cold night air, shivering through his jacket. Sticking his hands into his pockets, he kept up a brisk pace, making his way back to his apartment. The streets of Midgar were filled with people, even though the darkness was beginning to settle in. He could make out the silhouettes of people against the glow of windows, the stores closing up for the night. Fingering his cell phone in one pocket and his keys in the other, he smirked at people walking by; most too busy in their own personal business, while others stared at him. Damn, I must be looking good today; he chuckled inwardly at his own joke. He knew that he was an odd sight most days, and his agitated fingering of red strands didn’t help dissipate the crazy look he had. Grimacing a little, he took his hands out of his pockets and tugged on his shirt, taking a back alley to get home quicker.
His thoughts turned once again to what he had been thinking about all day. His breath hitched, thinking of silver hair and a soft smile, something not seen often. But when it was divulged…oh, it was glorious. He wasn’t able to keep his mind on anything else all day, and it had been noticeable. Rude had commented that he looked distracted about something, and he had almost let that something slip. Recovering with a badly “It’s nothin’ important” he could have sworn that the rest of the day he saw Rude looking at him from the corner of those damn sunglasses. Even knowing that Rude knew something was up still didn’t deter him from dreaming though. He would smile softly, thinking of a cold body, a warm mouth. A lean body sprawled across the sheets, eyes beckoning to him, a knowing smirk coming from dry lips. He found that at that point he would feel himself flush; hoping that with his red hair and scars, some more red wouldn’t be as noticeable.
Seeing his apartment coming up, Reno got out his key and walked up the steps to the door. Putting it in the lock, he twisted it and opened the door, stepping into the darkened room. As he turned around to shut the door, he heard a voice call out softly.
“Why hello there Turk,”
Funny how any words coming from that man’s lips could make him feel this way.
I'll keep you my dirty little secret
