It’s that little breath of air right by her right ear that always gets her blood pumping, or in this case she supposed, that lack of blood. Her hand shook on the gun a bit, and he put his hand over hers to steady it, allowing her to see the markings etched onto the gloves that he constantly wore.
“Steady yourself police girl,” he said, and she subconsciously licked her lips, before biting the lower one in concentration, her mind somewhere else at the moment. Tightening her grip on the gun, she raised it a bit higher and shut one eye to concentrate on the target, and that’s when he chose to breathe into her ear again, making her shudder all over.
“I said steady yourself,” he hissed out, mouth close to hers, and she could smell the tangy, rich smell of blood coming from him. She licked her lips and nodded, hoisting the gun back up and steadying it before firing off three shots in a row, all right on target.
